Moorgate Street Station.-On the west side of Moorfields, in Cripplegate Ward Without (P.O. Directory).

Erected about 1865, when the Metropolitan Railway lines were laid.

It occupies the site of numberless small courts and alleys, as : Baker's Court; Half Moon Alley, Moorfields; Cock Alley, Moorfields; Round Court; Butler's Court, Moor Lane.
