Wrestlers' Court.-South out of Camomile Street at No.2 (P.O Directory). In Bishopsgate Ward Within.
First mention: Lockie, 1810.
Former name: "Clark's Alley" (O. and M. 1677-Boyle, 1799).
In Stow's time there was a house called the "Wrestlers" against the wall of the City (S. 152, 172), from which this Court took its name.

Called "Wrestley's Court "in Strype, 1755 and Boyle.
Had houses only on the west side, the eastern side being the back side of Carpenters' Hall.
