First mention: Lockie, 1810.

Former name: "Clark's Alley" (O. and M. 1677-Boyle, 1799).

In Stow's time there was a house called the "Wrestlers" against the wall of the City (S. 152, 172), from which this Court took its name.

Wrestler's Court.-South out of London Wall, west of Carpenters' Hall (O. and M 1677-Boyle, 1799).

Called "Wrestley's Court "in Strype, 1755 and Boyle.

Had houses only on the west side, the eastern side being the back side of Carpenters' Hall.
