A gazeteer of over 6000 street and place names in the City of London; their location, origin and changes. Henry Harben died in 1910 and his work was published posthumously in 1918. Unfortunately Harben died before being able to complete the extension of his work to cover Westminster and Southwark. Access using the index on the left. The index is segmented to reduce the waiting time.

Because the final editing was not undertaken by Harben, there may be errors in the original work. We have reproduced that work as originally published and not attempted any further editing.
