COOKE'S VIEWS IN LONDON AND ITS VICINITY (1826-34)

48 Plates engraved by George Cooke and issued in 12 parts, each containing 4 plates. The first 10 parts were at a price of 7s. 6d. Quarto and 5s. 0d. Octavo and issued between 1826 and 1828. Parts 11 and 12 were not available until 1833 to 1834, just before George Cooke died. George Cooke's son, Edward Cooke and a number of distinguished artists contributed to the series resulting in a particularly lively representation. This series of prints is Series 149 as catalogued in London Illustrated 1604-1851 by Bernard Adams.

Bernard Adams lists two additional Plates taking the total to 50. The final order of the plates, which is that listed below did not relate to the order in which they were originally issued in Parts.
