WILLIAM PARROT "LONDON FROM THE THAMES" (1842)

A set of 12 hand-coloured lithographs. This was one of the last important series to be hand-coloured before colour printing processes took over.

The lithograph was printed in two stages, the first stone with the line drawing and the second with the areas of tone.

This series of prints is Series 198 as catalogued in London Illustrated 1604-1851 by Bernard Adams.
