SMITH'S ANTIQUITIES OF LONDON 1791

The first 87 of these plates were specifically published as extra-illustrations to Pennant's Of London and other works including Maitland's History and Stowe's Survey. The title plate is similar to the second one listed by Adams, but ommits the words First volume containing 64 Plates. Price £2 2s 0. in Boards and is presumably a later edition.

This series of prints is Series 70 as described by Bernard Adams in London Illustrated 1604-1851. The image below is the "Old Fountain" in the Minories, formerly an Inn and taken down in 1793.
